Requirements

Candidates must possess a service-oriented mentality, be quick learners in unfamiliar areas, and demonstrate high levels of autonomy and proactivity. A strong ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical developers is essential, along with demonstrable scripting, automation, or object-oriented programming experience. Experience with Windows command line, Microsoft Office products (especially Excel), and source control software (especially Perforce) is required. Nice-to-have skills include experience in AAA game development, technical art or computer science education, desk-side technical support experience, familiarity with Digital Content Creation applications, game development suites, and end-user UR or UX best practices.

Responsibilities

Production Engineers will identify improvements to studio workflows and provide support to content creators, often under tight deadlines. They will act as advocates for content creators to the Engineering organization, find short-term solutions, and push for long-term preventative measures. Responsibilities include solving difficult problems in unfamiliar areas, supporting designers and artists, testing usability of workflows, assisting with in-game asset and script setup, creating and maintaining documentation for proprietary tool sets, and writing tools and scripts to enhance content creation efficiency and quality.
