Strong knowledge of Florida Building Code (FBC) and relevant industry standards, including code compliance and acceptance (Building, Hail, Fire, Wind, Energy), is required. Familiarity with various roofing materials such as concrete, clay, and steel is also necessary.
Responsibilities
The Product Specialist will be responsible for growing and developing Westlake Royal Building Products Roof System Component (RSC) product lines, ensuring code compliance and acceptance, and providing sales and customer training. They will serve as a liaison between the roofing industry and Westlake, offering guidance and support, conducting internal and external product training, and assisting with overall business development related to product lines. Additionally, the role will involve researching and developing new products, supporting product testing for compliance, and assisting with strategies for branding and messaging.
