Requirements

  • Native Japanese-speaking with fluency in both spoken and written Japanese and business-level English
  • Currently based in the U.S. and willing to relocate to Japan for a full-time role
  • 5+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of delivering successful consumer-facing tech products (experience in large corporations and startups highly preferred)
  • Deep understanding of product development fundamentals and UX/UI principles
  • Basic understanding of vehicle architecture and embedded software, cloud services, and mobile apps (automotive industry experience a strong plus but not mandatory)
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural/multi-region environment with many stakeholders
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to balance long-term vision with short-term execution
  • Strong interest in the future of transportation, electric vehicles, and software-defined vehicles

Responsibilities

  • Develop and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for core Honda connected features, aligning with company goals for EVs and SDVs
  • Leverage data, user research, and market insights to create intuitive, delightful, and highly functional mobile app experiences for global customers
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders, engineers, design, product, and engineering teams at Honda and Drivemode to align priorities, manage expectations, and deliver solutions meeting regional and global needs
  • Establish best practices for product management, UX design, and technical integration to keep Honda at the forefront of connected service innovation
  • Occasional travel to Honda in Tochigi, other locations, Drivemode, and Honda US offices to collaborate with key stakeholders
