IP Paralegal - Cohesity Legal Team

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and outstanding IP Paralegal to join our in-house Legal team, specifically within the IP and Product (IPP) function. This multifaceted role offers the opportunity to work closely with various stakeholders on key strategic initiatives and programs, allowing you to be creative, make a significant impact, and add immediate value.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the management of product support, including IP transactions, open source software, copyrights, and trademarks.
- Manage Open Source Software (OSS) and other IP workflows.
- Promote the IP program through events, recognition programs, and awards.
- Assist in managing and coordinating various IP trainings.
- Generate IP-related reports for strategic decision-making and tracking.
- Collaborate with legal operations to acquire, configure, and roll out technologies that enhance team efficiency and business value.
- Develop positive, strong, and collaborative relationships with multiple cross-functional partners (e.g., Engineering, Product Management, Marketing, Outside Counsel, other Legal teams) to accelerate team effectiveness and delivery on sophisticated, cross-functional tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience working as a paralegal in product support, with experience in IP transactions and open source software.
- Experience with establishing in-house IP processes, systems, and tools.
- Technical Savvy: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with office productivity software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Google Drive, etc.) and openness to exploring new technical tools.
- Familiarity with Project Management Tools and reporting tools (e.g., Asana and PowerBI).
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, collaborating effectively as a team and working independently.
- Must be highly detail-oriented, process-driven, and organized.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Range: $133,900.00 - $167,400.00 annually.
- Note: Actual salary depends on factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, location, and salary expectations. The offered salary may be at the low end, high end, or even above the stated range.
- This position may be eligible for bonus compensation, commission (if applicable), and/or equity grants.
