The Product Designer should possess a minimum of 5 years of generalist product design experience in an organization that has shipped software to users, working closely with product, engineering, and product marketing teammates to develop strategy and rationale for features. Experience designing for B2B product is required, along with the ability to design polished, high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes of solutions in design tools like Figma. Strong written, verbal, and storytelling skills are necessary, as is the ability to understand technical concepts, with a bonus if working knowledge of LLMs, code, APIs, databases, etc., is available.
As a Product Designer, the candidate will own and drive the complete product design lifecycle of major features from end to end, conducting user research or partnering with others to understand customer needs and translating those insights into products and features that solve real problems for knowledge workers in organizations. They will prototype ideas quickly to assess viability, design detailed flows and interactions to turn features into a reality, and partner closely with engineers to build, iterate on, and ship those ideas. The role involves producing design artifacts such as specs, sketches, wireframes, mocks, and prototypes, contributing to Glean’s design system and component library, and contributing to design team processes while upholding high standards for design and product quality. The Product Designer will also partner with product managers to shape roadmaps and thrive in ambiguity, independently prioritizing work based on user needs and business goals, and taking responsibility to drive product ideas forward.
