Nursa is a healthcare platform connecting qualified nurses with facilities in need. Founded in 2019, it’s a venture-backed startup aiming to improve patient care by addressing staffing challenges.

Role Overview

As part of a small design team, you’ll bring complex system processes to life through simple and clever interfaces. You’ll help define the visual style, interaction patterns, and personality of the product, partnering closely with UX/UI teammates.

Responsibilities

  • Design Features: Take business goals, product direction, and the Design team’s experience strategy, and turn them into clear, buildable design specifications for dev teams.
  • Analyze and provide requirements, design user experience, and implement the design of complex software components to improve and/or develop the company’s products.
  • Own the Design System: Play a leading role in evolving components, patterns, and visual standards—and ensuring dev teams follow them.
  • Partner with Product & Dev: Keep delivery on track by managing and communicating your own timelines, help technical teams implement your designs, and find solutions alongside Front End developers when things get tricky.
  • Support Your Team: Jump into ideation sessions, give thoughtful feedback, and lean on each other to push quality higher.
  • Participate in all phases of software development from requirements gathering to maintenance.

Requirements

  • A design-related degree is helpful, but proven experience solving real problems through iterative design is most important.
  • Experience designing experience flows for different roles in a single platform.
  • Portfolio: We want to see your style, your thinking, and how you solve design challenges.
