Requirements

At least 6 years experience in regulatory and/or financial crime compliance within a financial technology company (bonus if focused on correspondent banking, remittance, financial services partnerships across APAC markets)
Ability to analyse and interpret complex regulatory frameworks and apply them effectively
Great prioritisation skills to balance compliance needs with business growth in a high-speed environment
Problem solving attitude, with the ability to use regulation together with data to drive business decisions
A natural owner that drives and delivers projects to completion proactively, timely and with attention to the details
(Nice to have) A team player with a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively with different stakeholders such as Product, Commercial teams and Compliance
(Nice to have) Ability to effectively and clearly communicate and provide practical, actionable, and value added recommendations
(Nice to have) Willingness to travel, as Wise offices are located across different countries

Responsibilities

Deeply understand regulatory needs, translate this into solutions and work with Product teams to enable compliant product innovation and commercial viability with partners
Perform regulatory analysis of new products and partnerships ensuring proper controls are implemented before launch
Assess local regulatory requirements in APAC markets to influence product roadmap and feasibility of new partnerships
Support the Wise Platform team on how to interpret regulatory requirements, improve products and partnerships to avoid regulatory breaches and/or incidents by understanding both the Wise product and local regulatory expectations
Collaborate with second line Compliance and Risk teams to identify and align on the main regulatory issues and risks for APAC Wise Platform
Present regulatory issues and risks in a clear and understandable way to wider teams, and work with them on defining solutions and execution
