Position Overview:

CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity, is seeking a Procurement Category Manager to join its team. This role is responsible for negotiating contracts across various categories globally, including technology, facilities, HR, consulting, accounting, and services. The Procurement Category Manager will act as a senior sourcing expert, liaising with legal, serving as a Procurement ambassador to the business, and ensuring alignment with business goals and sourcing strategies. The position involves developing negotiation strategies, advising on contract terms, monitoring compliance and value, and recommending cost-saving proposals.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop global sourcing strategies for diverse categories.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and qualify suppliers.
  • Initiate and manage Requests for Proposals/Quotations (RFPs/RFQs).
  • Advise requestors on contract terms and conditions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through supplier selection processes using effective scoring criteria.
  • Negotiate General Procurement agreements, including Master Agreements, Statements of Work, and Change Orders, balancing business deliverables, legal interests, and pricing.
  • Conduct proposal analysis for services supporting various business functions.
  • Analyze total costs, assist with ROI analysis, price and rate benchmarking, and negotiate favorable business terms.
  • Provide global contract expertise for sourcing products and services.
  • Evaluate single sourcing requests and ensure competitiveness.

Category Management

  • Develop, refine, and implement category strategies and tactics to maximize value.
  • Become a subject matter expert for assigned categories, consulting internal clients on industry trends, benchmarking, and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional meetings and develop communication strategies to inform internal clients about procurement processes, supplier strategy, and policies.

Supplier Management

  • Manage supplier relationships with a focus on supply risk, contract risk, and cost management.
  • Mediate supplier issues and resolve contract disputes.
  • Lead and participate in supplier performance reviews to review performance and support improvement programs.
  • Support ad-hoc reporting needs.
