Responsibilities

  • Leads the analysis of a specific commodity data and industry trends or leads an individual supply chain sub-category; reports results to managers
  • Participates as a senior member on a cross-functional team (may lead specific projects)
  • Meets with stakeholder managers to understand business priorities and translate them into procurement strategies and execution plans; comprehends the industry and the Marketplace
  • Utilizes supply chain and financial modeling tools
  • Leads sourcing (RFP) activities and participates in supplier selection
  • Negotiates and contracts with suppliers
  • Executes risk mitigation, business continuity, cost management, and operation strategies
  • Identifies common contract risk areas
  • Advises program level business representatives on fundamental contract risk areas
  • Monitors supplier performance
  • Manages two business critical Marketing spend categories; specifically, goods and services supporting HPE's Brand and Market Research capabilities
  • Reduces the cost of supply and demand requirements, enables business and quality specifications, and supports the Global Marketing organization revenue generation goals
  • Assesses the supply markets in each category, develops category strategies, and executes these strategies through best practice sourcing and negotiating techniques
  • Works closely with the Marketing function post-contract to manage supplier performance and delivery
