Responsibilities

  • Supporting the manufacturing area in its growth and rate increase
  • Carrying out improvement activities - data gathering and data analyses to understand impact and effort required
  • Support the Non-Conformance process - root cause analyses, implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions
  • Interface with the design authority during the product development phase to ensure optimised Design for Manufacture (DfM), and in the production phase for management of change implementation. This includes supporting the New Product Introduction team in creating/improving design rules for manufacturability of circuit cards
  • Ensure processes and equipment contribute to a safe working environment following both company processes and legal obligations, meeting internal quality requirements
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, processes and equipment with a data-based approach, using methods such as SPC, to support a robust manufacturing system
  • Resolve issues and queries with the operations team on the shop floor
  • Perform and review PFMEAs
  • Develop tooling to aid the manufacturing process
  • Create and modify machine programmes for the assembly, manufacture or inspection of circuit cards
