Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in process engineering within sand or investment casting environments, including melt and mold/core operations
  • Proficiency with casting simulation tools (e.g., MAGMASOFT, ProCAST) and experience validating simulation outcomes against real-world results
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, including authorship of PFMEAs and control plans; experience executing AS9102-compliant First Article Inspections (FAIs)
  • Familiarity with sand testing methods (e.g., GFN, permeability, moisture, compactability) and binder ratio control protocols
  • What Will Set You Apart
  • Experience designing greenfield manufacturing cells or establishing lab infrastructure for heat treatment or sand testing
  • Knowledge of aerospace and defense casting standards (e.g., NADCAP, ASTM specifications, traceability requirements)
  • Familiarity with c (incomplete in description)

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Bills of Materials (BOMs), CAD models, and technical drawings to classify casting parts by process complexity, alloy type, size, and risk
  • Develop first-principles cycle-time models using simulation data, standard routings, and historical performance metrics
  • Define and document end-to-end casting process flows, including melt preparation, mold/core fabrication, pouring, and post-processing
  • Translate technical scoping outputs into capital and operational requirements for factory implementation (equipment, staffing, takt planning)

Hadrian

Automated factories for precision metal components

About Hadrian

Hadrian builds automated factories to produce precision metal components for the Space & Defense industry. These factories are designed to manufacture parts for rockets, satellites, jets, and drones much faster and cheaper than traditional machine shops. By automating the manufacturing process, Hadrian can deliver flight-grade machined parts in as little as 5 to 21 days, depending on the complexity of the part. The company uses advanced scheduling and capacity management systems to ensure timely delivery and provides customers with real-time visibility into their orders, including inspection results. Unlike its competitors, Hadrian focuses on creating a highly efficient production environment that significantly reduces costs and improves production speed. The goal is to enhance the manufacturing capabilities of their customers and support them in bringing new products to market more effectively.
