Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering related discipline or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience required; experience with profile extrusion preferred
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel and Word
  • Understanding of SCADA, MES systems and PLC controls
  • Working knowledge of CAD software
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency in the use of the English language in reading, writing, and speaking
  • Demonstrated skill in improving processes and developing efficiencies in manufacturing processes
  • Ability to successfully interact with all organizational levels and the public
  • Ability to apply business math to manufacturing processes
  • Ability to use a computer, and proficiency in the use of MS Office and other business and engineering software
  • Ability to manage several activities/projects at once, to organize and prioritize work, to meet deadlines, to prepare plans, goals, and budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to be mobile in the work environment
  • Ability to pass a drug test

Responsibilities

  • Generate productivity increases, enhance product quality, and reduce costs through process/layout improvements, machinery specifications, and development of new technologies
  • Develop operating profiles which maximize output, product quality, minimize scrap, and ensure their use throughout the plant
  • Analyze data and develop processes and methods to improve efficiency and quality
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sensors and equipment for possible operation applications and assist in machinery and equipment specification
  • Generate standard operating procedures and relevant process documentation
  • Work with integrators and vendors on SCADA, MES systems, PLC controls, and machinery to enhance productivity
  • Assist and train process technicians and operators on working knowledge of the process
  • Manage all aspects of the development and implementation of production projects
  • Prepare and/or revise the plant layout as required
  • Participate in the Safety Committee and ensure that the operation is consistent with Company and OSHA policies, practices, and procedures
  • Work with the Quality Control department to ensure compliance with code reports
  • Prepare various reports as required
  • Perform other duties as required
