Process Controls Engineer

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification, and between ten to fifteen years of related experience. They should have experience working with large-scale piping, valve, pumping systems, and treatment technologies, along with strong writing, organizational, and communication skills.
The Process Engineer will provide technical planning, biological process and mechanical design and construction support on various water and wastewater treatment and resource recovery projects, including combined sewer overflow, collection system, pump station, stormwater, hydrologic and hydraulic models, and other water and wastewater projects. They will prepare engineering calculations, run process models, utilize effective technical writing skills to prepare technical memoranda, prepare design reports and construction plans, assist with specifications and permit submittals, monitor task budget and progress, document design changes and communications, conduct on-site inspections, prepare project status and other reports, assist in the preparation of proposals, attend meetings, maintain excellent client relations, maintain a safe working environment, participate in professional organizations, publish and present papers, and serve as an active member in relevant practice areas.
