Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field of study
  • Five (5) years of experience in a systems engineering role or a related occupation
  • Five (5) years of experience in Software engineering, systems engineering, or Information Systems Management
  • Five (5) years of experience developing scripts or applications to automate systems implementation, configuration, or management
  • Five (5) years of Information Systems Management experience in a distributed environment (retail or equivalent)
  • Five (5) years of experience working within standard project management methodologies
  • Five (5) years of experience handling multiple assignments and using strong prioritization skills
  • Five (5) years of experience with Middleware and other messaging tools
  • Five (5) years of experience with Modern network enabled relational databases
  • Five (5) years of experience with Modern operating systems or platforms
  • Five (5) years of experience with Systems Infrastructure engineering in a large distributed environment
  • Five (5) years of experience with Windows server and client operating systems, Active Directory
  • Five (5) years of experience with Modern point of sale systems, technologies, and peripherals

Responsibilities

  • Support a large-scale distributed infrastructure
  • Provide technical leadership in problem-solving, maintenance, and project build situations
  • Formulate solutions for improvement and configure systems infrastructure remotely on a widely distributed network
  • Perform basic Systems Administration tasks
  • Research, evaluate, recommend, and implement information technology that aligns with business needs and meets objectives
  • Serve as a technical resource for support services, business partners, and customers
  • Lead the coordination of activities between multiple disciplines within IT and vendors on both technical and non-technical issues pertaining to computer system hardware and software, network infrastructure, peripheral evaluation, and integration
  • Provide third-tier support for Company production systems
  • Install, maintain, and perform configuration of Infrastructure applications
  • Upgrade Applications and Tools, install patches, troubleshoot and resolve application problems, performance tuning, and capacity planning
  • Participate in the creation of entire Systems (Clients, Server Hardware, network, and databases)
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with peer teams
  • Build relationships with enterprise architecture team, and design to best meet the standards of our multi-tenant architecture
  • Lead and coordinate activities for incident management, service development, service transition, and continual service improvement of store systems infrastructure services
  • Recommend, improve, and document systems engineering processes and procedures
  • Collaborate with other Systems Engineers
  • Participate in on-call 24-7 rotation schedule
