Position Overview

Smartsheet's Professional Services (PS) organization is seeking an experienced Principal Solutions Consultant (PSC) to leverage expert-level Smartsheet knowledge in developing and deploying enterprise technology solutions. This role involves strategic problem-solving, technical leadership, coaching, and deployment support for both new and existing service offerings. The PSC will possess strong business acumen to understand customer business goals and value drivers, translating them into solutions that achieve critical business outcomes. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will collaborate with executive-level stakeholders to align Smartsheet's capabilities with business objectives.

The Smartsheet PSC is a seasoned expert focused on delivering value-added integration and consultative services for enterprise solutions, including the design, deployment, and integration of various product sets. You will provide thought leadership and best practices, promoting Smartsheet technology to drive customer success and foster growth into new domains, working in close collaboration with internal services engineering, product, and marketing teams.

This role supports three key areas: Strategic Innovation, Customer Opportunity Support, and Delivery Excellence. You will lead the delivery of new services and capabilities across the PS delivery team and contribute to developing new intellectual property (IP) to support customer technology journeys, new business opportunities, and emerging areas. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a proven track record of addressing complex and unique challenges, possessing an out-of-the-box mindset and strong storytelling abilities to drive customer success and build lasting relationships. This individual will manage the most complex and high-visibility accounts.

You will report to the Regional Director of Consulting - East. This is a remote-eligible position, and you may work remotely from anywhere in the Eastern Time Zone where Smartsheet is registered.

Responsibilities

• Act as the advisory and technical lead, delivering the most complex solutions within a customer environment.
• Provide advanced technical knowledge of Smartsheet solutions and products, including new releases, enhancements, design architecture, and integrations.
• Understand and articulate complex customer business problems to identify and propose the most suitable solutions.
• Lead efforts to proactively identify key customer use cases and business value drivers, ensuring proper documentation and collaboration with internal Smartsheet teams.
• Share key learnings and insights with the broader PS ecosystem and contribute to impactful cross-functional initiatives.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring consistent and high standards of service delivery.
• Stay current on industry trends, competitive analysis, and market differentiation, sharing insights and knowledge with clients and colleagues.
