Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
8+ years of Java EE development on high volume enterprise systems
Proven expertise developing JAVA middle tier REST services and with Enterprise messaging like ActiveMQ, Kafka
Experience with PL/SQL and complex queries
Understanding of Relational Databases
Proven understanding of Cloud Computing and DevOps concepts like CI/CD pipelines in an AKS Azure environment
Demonstrated experience of leading engineering teams

Responsibilities

Lead a team of engineers responsible for the design, development, and delivery of new and improved experiences for equity compensation recordkeeping platform
Provide technical leadership for an agile squad, driving collaboration across the organization and within the team
Work alongside other tech leads, squad leads, quality engineering, support teams, and operations to lead delivery and enablement of global experiences
Act as player/mentor, leading the team by leveraging members' strengths
Identify opportunities to automate manually intensive processes to improve efficiency
Lead projects to completion in an Agile environment
Collaborate with technical and business experts on the team
Learn and experiment with new technologies and patterns
Follow modern test driven and automation driven software development methodologies
Demonstrate strong sense of ownership for the quality of solution delivery and execution
Embrace continuous improvement regarding application quality and stability
Be candid and transparent in all discussions to ensure the best outcomes
Prioritize work in a fast-paced environment, focusing on the best customer experience
Partner with other technical leads, architects, and business to make clear, simple, and technically sound design decisions
Define and lead development standards and coding best practices for the team
