Candidates should possess 7+ years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Java and Spring Boot microservices, along with solid experience utilizing Jenkins, Docker/Kubernetes on Azure or AWS, and large-scale distributed systems based on microservices. They should also have experience with data pipelines processing large amounts of data in real-time or near real-time, including familiarity with Lakehouse architecture, Azure ADLS Gen2, and Apache Hudi. Strong organizational, critical-thinking, and personal leadership skills are required, alongside being a self-starter with the ability to deliver with minimal supervision and a comfort level with learning new things.
As a Principal Software Engineer, the individual will identify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the software development lifecycle, collaborating with business stakeholders to iterate on software requirements and develop clean, efficient code. They will automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting, analyze and debug systems, perform validation and verification testing, review the work of others, and collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products. Additionally, they will ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies and contribute to the overall technical excellence of the Scrum team, while also mentoring other team members and delivering both business and technical objectives through ambiguity and uncertainty.
