The Principal Software Engineer (Infra) requires 15+ years of experience as an engineer leading complex engineering projects, experience with cloud technologies (AWS or GCP), strong knowledge of Go or Node, or other programming languages, strong knowledge of Kubernetes, and IaC tooling, experience working in a distributed systems environment, and a proven ability to thrive in a fast-moving, team-oriented, collaborative environment. Candidates must be located in and authorized to work in India, and be able to speak and write English fluently.
As a Principal Software Engineer, the candidate will regularly tackle the largest and most complex problems on the team, serve as a technical leader on cross-functional projects, functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions, contribute to the long-term technical vision and strategic direction of the engineering team, implement AI to empower themselves and others, assist in the career development of others, and balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices. The role also involves working alongside other Principal Engineers and Architects to drive a shared strategy, implementing new technology initiatives, and working with geographically diverse engineering teams while participating in on-call shifts.
