Requirements

  • Previous certification experience with security certifications (FIPS 140-2, Common Criteria, PCI), either in an evaluation lab or a product vendor
  • Understanding and experience with modern product release engineering practices, specifically with SCRUM and other Agile methodologies
  • A broad understanding of hardware, software, and systems engineering best practices; practical product development experience in any of the engineering domains a plus
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal direct supervision
  • BSCS, BSCE, BSEE, or equivalent experience required

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140, Common Criteria (CC) and regionally focused security certification process for the company's new and existing products with the objective of obtaining certification in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Collaborate in the creation of product functional specifications, designs, and the testing for new products to ensure certification and security requirements are addressed throughout the entire product lifecycle
  • Act as a mentor to the development teams on how to create FIPS 140 and CC certifiable designs
  • Participate in the security certification standards bodies and keep abreast of emerging standards as required by the business
  • Act as a subject matter expert in security certifications and lead efforts on attaining regional certification of nShield HSM based products
  • Provide security compliance guidance and leadership on current and emerging next-generation products
