Requirements

Candidates must be a qualified accountant or CFA charterholder (or in process of obtaining qualification). Solid experience in constructing and reviewing valuation models, including DCF, comparable company/bond, and intangible asset models, is required. Hands-on exposure to securitizations such as CLOs, ABS, or CMBS, and experience managing the delivery of valuations and responding to client inquiries are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The Principal will deliver valuation services to the alternative investment community using valuation techniques and technology-enabled solutions. Daily tasks involve using Excel, Intex, and Intex Link for cashflow modeling, SQL for data extraction, and Python for automation. Responsibilities include performing valuations on illiquid investments like ABS, CLOs, and CMBS, preparing reports, collaborating with developers on financial models, using AI tools for data gathering and cleaning, applying machine learning for pattern identification and forecasting, leveraging Natural Language Processing for insight extraction, and partnering with management to build client relationships.
