Candidates must have experience as an architect guiding customers through digital transformation, leading solutioning and scoping discussions, and driving the successful delivery of strategic, multi-workflow projects. They should possess thought leadership, best practices, and expert guidance capabilities, engaging with senior stakeholders to align business objectives with technology solutions. The role requires establishing strong governance frameworks, reducing technical debt, and enabling scalable solutions. Specific platform architect requirements include helping customers establish a solid technical foundation in the ServiceNow platform, designing solutions for business outcomes through adoption, ensuring customers leverage leading practices around instance strategy, technical governance, core data, integrations, and overall platform technical health, and interfacing with customers across executive, platform owner, enterprise architect, and development teams.
Architects will guide customers through their digital transformation journey, provide thought leadership, best practices, and expert guidance to ensure customers achieve long-term value from the ServiceNow platform. They will engage with senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology solutions, and scale ServiceNow expertise across internal and external teams. Responsibilities include establishing strong governance frameworks, reducing technical debt, and enabling scalable solutions to help customers optimize their platform strategy while maintaining agility and long-term sustainability. Specifically, they will act as an expert across an assigned term of contracts, providing architectural guidance, technical governance, and best practices on ServiceNow’s largest and most strategically important accounts. They will build strong relationships with customer technical and business leaders, collaborate with GTM, Delivery, and other joint teams, and serve as an active contributor of leading practices, standards, and thought leadership related to the ServiceNow platform. Additionally, they will provide input to the ServiceNow product strategy team to steer the product roadmap, guide ServiceNow, partner, and customer employees on delivering solutions based on the designed technical architecture for long-term success, and accelerate platform adoption and improve customer outcomes through a portfolio of services.
