Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field, ideally with a Master’s degree, and a minimum of 10 years of experience in Engineering, Product Development, Automation, Lean, Manufacturing, or Quality Management. They should also have 3-5 years of experience in people management/leadership/influence within the Footwear or other industry, along with fluency in English and proficiency in standard Microsoft Office programs and business intelligence tools.

Responsibilities

This Principal Manufacturing Systems Engineer will contribute to Nike’s mission by collaborating with various teams to drive manufacturing and product excellence, and deliver sustainable growth. They will work with Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Factory partners, and cross-functional teams to drive initiatives, functional best practices, new tools and systems, and forums. The role involves applying knowledge of manufacturing operations to identify opportunities and drive progress, as well as demonstrating experience in working with multiple functions/stakeholders and serving as a team player/people leader with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire others, while also being capable in system thinking, data driven decision making, and forward conceptual thinking.
