Requirements

Experience leading engineering squads in financial or web reporting, particularly with diverse data sources and customizable reporting
Strong technical skills in architecture, design reviews, software best practices, coding, testing, and delivering projects
Proficiency in AI-native development practices and tools (e.g., Cursor, Augment) for productivity gains and rapid iteration
Ability to work hands-on as a player-coach: owning code, solving complex problems, and contributing to design
Expertise in workflow automation, AI integration, and modern tooling for efficiency and scalability
Proven project management skills for short-term roadmaps (next two quarters), risk identification, and mitigation
Leadership and mentorship experience for engineering teams, including code reviews and professional growth
Strong cross-functional collaboration with stakeholders (e.g., Product, Customer Support, other eng teams) and autonomous conflict resolution
Operational excellence in monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving production issues
Hiring and team-building experience, including final hiring decisions and organizational design

Responsibilities

Champion and embed AI-native development practices and tools to foster high velocity and quality
Take ownership of team's architecture, participate in design reviews, and drive long-term technical vision
Actively code, test, and deliver roadmap projects while owning team code
Lead design and implementation of workflow automation solutions and AI integrations
Manage team's short-term roadmap, identify risks, and create mitigation strategies
Lead and mentor engineers, ensuring high-quality deliverables through guidance and code reviews
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver solutions and handle conflicts autonomously
Own monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving production issues; promote operational practices
Partner with recruiting for hiring, own final decisions, and design team organization
