Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the medical device or regulated industry OR Master’s degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience OR PhD with 3 years relevant experience
Strong working knowledge of analog circuit design and simulation
Strong working knowledge of microcontroller system architecture
Strong working knowledge of lithium-ion battery design techniques including PMICs, fuel gauges, and protection circuits
Strong working knowledge of wireless charging and Qi protocol
Strong working knowledge of power and energy consumption analysis

Responsibilities

Design and optimize lithium-ion battery power management circuits, including PMICs, fuel gauges, protection techniques, and wireless charging circuits compliant with Qi protocol
Conduct power and energy consumption analysis to ensure efficient device operation and maximize battery life
Drive PCB design and schematic capture, working closely with PCB layout engineers to ensure best practices for manufacturability, signal integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance
Lead the design, development, and verification of analog and digital circuits for medical device applications, focusing on reliability and compliance with regulatory standards
Design microcontroller-based systems and sub-systems, selecting appropriate components and ensuring robust system integration
Integrate and troubleshoot voltage regulators, RF and BLE communication modules, and advanced lithium-ion battery technologies
Collaborate proactively with systems, embedded software, and mechanical engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical designs within the overall device architecture
Participate in risk analysis, design reviews, and root cause analysis for electrical issues
Mentor and guide junior engineers and review their designs for quality and compliance
