Position Overview
Model N is seeking a Principal Consultant, Medicaid, to join our Business Services team. This role is crucial for supporting Medicaid processing and serving as a subject matter expert for other operation team members. The Principal Consultant will provide advice and guidance on Medicaid rebate management programs, aligning with client strategic priorities and compliance needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage ongoing client relationships, interfacing with clients to resolve specific issues.
- Review and approve the setup and maintenance of customer contracts and data management within Model N systems.
- Ensure Medicaid rebates are processed and paid according to government and contractual requirements.
- Lead, review, and approve Medicaid rebate deliverables to clients.
- Oversee the analysis and review of monthly and quarterly deliverables to ensure reports are submitted in accordance with contract terms.
- Handle complex and/or varying types of pharmaceutical rebates.
- Respond to customer and client inquiries regarding processing status, reconciliation questions, data discrepancies, and payment status.
- Lead, manage, mentor, and develop Medicaid rebate Analysts.
- Collaborate with GP Pricing and GTN teams, participating in cross-functional meetings and providing insights and information as required.
- Comply with all SOC controls and internal processes and procedures.
- Support ongoing software product testing.
- Continuously build detailed subject matter expertise and thought leadership in Medicaid processing and contracting, sharing knowledge with direct reports and peer groups.
- Strive to improve business services processes and programs to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry with Medicaid agreements.
- Experience working in a mandated deadline environment, effectively managing multiple client assignments and prioritizing tasks.
- Ability to continually build detailed subject matter expertise in Government Contracting Compliance.
- Ability to comprehend and learn complex government compliance requirements and apply this knowledge daily.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- High accuracy rate and attention to detail, with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to produce client-ready deliverables for a high-level executive/professional client base.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills.
- Essential ability to manage multiple and competing tasks across functional areas.
- Technical ability to understand underlying data structures and handle large amounts of data.
- Experience achieving and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and procedures, adhering to industry best practices.
- Ability to deliver required periodic results with a high degree of accuracy and minimal management review.
