Requirements

Candidates should possess 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, SRE, or Infrastructure roles, with a demonstrated focus on distributed systems and platform-level challenges. They must have deep expertise in designing, scaling, and operating cloud-native systems on AWS or GCP, and a strong understanding of infrastructure technologies such as GCP, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, Vault, Jenkins, Kafka, Airflow, Snowflake, Spark, Java 11, Python 3, Ruby 2.7, and Ruby on Rails.

Responsibilities

As a Principal Cloud Platform Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and vision for Sift’s online infrastructure, ensuring it is highly available, performant, and scalable. You will drive architecture and design of immutable, fault-tolerant, multi-region infrastructure and services, solve high-scale, high-throughput problems, guide improvements to developer workflows, and architect and build robust internal libraries and platforms. Furthermore, you will develop proactive monitoring and self-healing systems, act as a strategic advisor to engineering teams, participate in and evolve the on-call strategy, mentor and coach senior engineers, and contribute to the overall resilience of critical services.
