Requirements

  • Strong architectural skills, with proven experience designing complex software systems
  • Strong engineering skills, with at least an intermediate level skill in Python
  • Demonstrated ability in leading technical teams
  • Experience implementing technical solutions, tackling tough engineering problems to help build products
  • Experience building and deploying production ML models to solve real-world problems
  • Experience bringing cutting-edge innovation to production
  • A Master’s Degree in a field of science, technology, engineering or math, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Desire to learn new things, work closely with peers from different teams, and open to teach and learn from others

Responsibilities

  • Play a major role in building products leveraging the latest innovations around LLMs and agentic systems
  • Work closely with teams across ASAPP, including Product, Research and Platform / Infrastructure
  • Keep up with and apply the latest innovations from the NLP / Speech community that could impact our product
  • Lead major technical initiatives and explorations
  • Be a technical leader for teams that are architecting and engineering systems
  • Straddle between engineering and research to bring in innovations
  • Regularly interface with Research teams, chart out research roadmaps and brainstorm ideas
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers
  • Be hands-on in the development process
