About the Role

We are looking for a Principal to join the Investment Team who will be highly motivated and commercially minded. This position offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of top-tier hedge fund managers and global institutional allocators.

The Principal plays a critical role in leading client engagements, providing insightful analysis of key aspects of the client’s absolute return investments, shaping strategic solutions, and driving value for both clients and the organization. This role requires a strong blend of client-facing expertise, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement & Solution Delivery: Lead client’s meetings and presentations with clients, showcasing customized solutions aligned with their specific needs and investment objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams across functions to ensure the delivery of optimal client outcomes and to continuously enhance the value of the platform.
  • Client Strategy & Insight Development: Build a deep understanding of clients’ investment strategies, objectives, and constraints to inform solution design and engagement strategy.
  • Market Intelligence & Benchmarking: Conduct and present market research, industry trends, and peer benchmarking to clients and internal stakeholders, supporting strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.

Primary Qualifications & Skills

  • Higher education in a relevant field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CFA designation is considered an asset.
  • Desired seniority: senior level.
  • At least 12-15 years of experience in investment management, consulting, or financial services, preferably with exposure to hedge funds, alternative investments, or institutional asset management.
  • Deep understanding of alternative investment strategies, particularly absolute return and hedge fund strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead high-level client engagements and deliver tailored investment solutions.
  • Experience in developing investment narratives and presenting market intelligence, peer benchmarking, and strategic insights to sophisticated institutional clients.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across internal teams (investment, risk, legal, operations, technology).
  • Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate it clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
