  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers
  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment
  • Decision Making & Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
  • 6-8 years of experience in pricing, or roles supporting aftermarket department
  • PowerPoint, PowerBI, and Excel proficiency
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar products and/or relevant business systems
  • Ability to work 5 days a week in office in Peoria, IL

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for worldwide parts pricing strategies of Ground Engaging Tools (GET)
  • Partners with product, financial, and industry teams to guide the execution of dynamic and differentiated pricing strategies that align with product and enterprise goals for revenue and profitability, with a high level of direct involvement with senior leaders
  • Executes strategic and tactical price action within a robust pricing governance framework
  • Works with Product and Commercial teams to develop and maintain pricing strategies for Ground Engaging Tools (GET)
  • Utilizes Analytical, Strategic, and Communication skills to ensure Pricing strategies are well understood with aligned understanding of definition of winning
  • Performs both project and tactical work with varying levels of organizational exposure up to the Vice President
