Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, sales, or pricing function
  • Proven successful experience with pricing techniques and price optimization
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Commercial acumen and customer-centric attitude
  • Strong aptitude for math, and understanding/analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources
  • Able to present clean, organized, and thorough information and data appropriate for the intended audience
  • Good time management and prioritization skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (in particular Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Good initiative to delegate, follow up on, and resolve issues
  • Ability to develop and maintain business relationships and influence individuals across different teams and functions

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies and evaluate resource requirements
  • Represent pricing during negotiations of large deals and support the negotiation of all global key account pricing agreements
  • Partner with the sales and product management teams to identify opportunities to optimize sales and profitability through pricing strategies
  • Lead the deal desk for North America and Latin America; review and improve prices quoted by sales by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels
  • Own regional price lists, price guidance, and pricing policy (including discount authority)
  • Manage price realization for North America and Latin America
  • Recommend pricing actions to the leadership team to improve price realization and profitability
  • Provide pricing guidance to optimize the product portfolio and customer segmentation strategies
  • Analyze finished goods inventory trends and partner with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns
  • Train the sales team on pricing topics and pricing negotiation techniques
