Requirements

  • Studying engineering with a focus on mechanical engineering, medical technology, production engineering, industrial engineering, mechatronics, or a similar field
  • Strong analytical skills, structured, independent, and precise working style
  • Ideally, practical experience in production technology
  • Confident handling of MS Office, SharePoint, PowerApps, and Power Automate
  • Very good German and good English skills in spoken and written form
  • Availability for 6-month full-time internship starting March or April 2026, onsite in Schönkirchen near Kiel

Responsibilities

  • Support the manufacturing engineering team in integrating new laser marking processes into production
  • Maintain and optimize a production app to implement Unique Device Identification (UDI) requirements from the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR) for internal instrument manufacturing and subcontractors
  • Conduct independent process analyses and define process flows using Lean methods for continuous improvement (KVP)
  • Co-responsible for product and process change requests as well as corrective actions
  • Collaborate closely with development, process-oriented engineering teams, and production
