Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in audit or financial advisory services
  • Prior experience in a project management role within a professional services or consulting environment
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically in complex environments
  • Proven ability to successfully lead projects to completion within scope, timeline, and budget
  • Preferred: Active CPA license (or equivalent, e.g., Chartered Accountant) and/or Project Management certification (CAPM, PMP)
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, etc.)
  • Knowledge of capital markets transactions and public company requirements, compliance, and operations
  • Familiarity with financial systems and ERP technologies (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects with changing priorities and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Advise clients on best practices for planning and executing capital markets and finance transformation projects
  • Assist in developing and maintaining detailed project plans for complex transactions and client initiatives
  • Lead discussions with client stakeholders across multiple workstreams to ensure alignment and progress toward deliverables
  • Oversee the preparation of executive reporting materials and status updates for senior leadership
  • Advise and assist clients on the stand-up, structure, and delivery of a project management office (PMO)
  • Identify and address project risks, issues, and scope changes, escalating as needed to leadership
  • Lead and mentor junior team members within the PMO and in your home market
  • Foster trusted relationships with stakeholders, acting as a strategic advisor and business partner
  • Maintain a professional and positive attitude in dynamic, fast-paced environments
  • Coordinate CFGI services across projects including IPOs, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, finance organization transformations, and technology implementations
  • Oversee technical accounting, SEC reporting, internal controls, finance transformation, and cybersecurity efforts
  • Work closely with CFGI partners and client leaders to develop and execute project plans and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
