Valid Driver's License upon hire
Journeyman Plumber (State) - South Dakota Plumbing Commission within 120 days
Journeyman Plumber (Municipality) - Licensing Board within 120 days
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Understanding of current plumbing codes
Knowledge of plumbing system layouts, including isolation valves and shutoffs
Ability to work specified hours: Monday-Friday 2:45pm-11:15pm, 80 hours biweekly, weekend rotation (2 weekends on, 3 off)

Responsibilities

Perform general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties, including inspections, servicing, repair, and overhaul of equipment and facilities
Provide plumbing services and general maintenance duties
Work with special systems (sprinklers, medical gases, natural gas), including repairs, troubleshooting, and modifications
Monitor work orders, prioritize work, and complete work order duties
Complete maintenance rounds, logs, and records according to preventive maintenance plan
Operate brazing/soldering/welding equipment
Monitor the activities of outside plumbing contractors
Keep contract plumbers informed of all plumbing work performed for final inspection and approval (applicable to Journeyman only)
