Requirements

Candidates must have experience working under pressure in a fast-paced environment and managing large-scale deployments. They should possess experience supporting applications in a Linux environment, strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl, and experience developing tools or automating processes. Familiarity with supporting the FIX protocol, an understanding of monitoring and performance management, excellent communication skills, strong ownership, and a track record of delivering results are also required. A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is necessary. Preferred qualifications include experience with FIX certification, NFS and GPFS file systems, storage devices, application monitoring systems like ITRS Geneos, Control-M job scheduling, q and kdb+, AWS, and Docker.

Responsibilities

The Platform Support Engineer will serve as the first point of contact for production issues, support requests, and alerts. They will investigate and resolve issues and outages as they occur, escalating when necessary. The engineer will collaborate with software development teams to ensure the successful deployment of new code into production. Additionally, they will automate processes and workflows and build tools for the trading environment.
