Requirements

Candidates must have strong software development experience in Python, with TypeScript being a bonus. Solid knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS, and cloud-native services is required, along with experience using Terraform/OpenTofu or similar Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tooling. Hands-on exposure to CI/CD pipelines and developer workflows is essential, as is a strong interest in improving engineer productivity and good communication skills. The ability to work independently and be self-sufficient is also a key requirement.

Responsibilities

The Platform Engineer II will build and maintain developer and platform tooling to enhance operational efficiency and enable self-service, including tools like kraken-cli, Cloudfarer, and REEF. Responsibilities include creating internal libraries, frameworks, and automation to reduce repetitive work, improving CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling, and collaborating with product teams to design 'golden path' experiences. The role also involves defining and enforcing best practices for IaC and cloud usage, identifying automation and optimization opportunities, and upskilling teams in the effective use of platform tools and services.
