Requirements

Candidates must possess proven depth in CI/CD, deployment, and container orchestration, including experience with Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Terraform, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions. A solid AWS experience and proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Go, are required. The ideal candidate will be comfortable designing, operating, and troubleshooting production platforms at scale, have a strong command of observability tooling like Prometheus or Splunk, and demonstrate developer empathy and outstanding communication skills. Familiarity with agile methodologies and incident-management best practices, along with a growth mindset curious about GenAI, is also expected. Experience building mobile or serverless CI/CD pipelines, exposure to regulated or high-compliance domains, and advanced Honeycomb or observability-as-code know-how are considered nice to have.

Responsibilities

The Platform Engineer will be responsible for managing AWS accounts where Zopa's applications are deployed, including infrastructure management and cost optimization. They will maintain multiple Kubernetes clusters and associated services to provide features for engineers. Additionally, the role involves managing secrets and certificate generation using HashiCorp Vault. The engineer will collaborate closely with teams across the business to deliver scalable solutions, automate processes, and maintain the reliability of the platform. This includes continuously improving services as the company grows and launching new products.
