Requirements

The ideal candidate will have over 4 years of experience in a Platform or Site Reliability Engineering role. They should possess solid Linux administration skills, proficiency with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and comfort with scripting languages such as Bash or Python. Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS and strong knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes are also required. Familiarity with Kafka, service discovery tools, secrets management, and networking fundamentals are considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

The Platform Engineer will be responsible for evolving the infrastructure platform to enhance developer autonomy and contribute to the Terraform automation strategy. This role involves improving CI/CD processes and tooling, ensuring the reliability, security, and up-to-dateness of container platforms like Kubernetes, and designing scalable self-service tools to minimize operational toil. Additionally, the engineer will support infrastructure observability through metrics, tracing, and alerting, and collaborate closely with product teams to promote a culture of reliability engineering.
