Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • One (1) year experience in a production/manufacturing environment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, commissions, proportions, and percents
  • Able to read and write
  • Able to understand and follow the direction of supervisors
  • Must be in good physical condition; routine lifting and manipulation of dry ice blocks ranging from 5-60 pounds
  • Ability to stand, stoop, crouch, or bend
  • Ability to work in unconditioned space (warm in summer, cool in winter), with hazards requiring PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves for dry ice)
  • Ability to function safely in a noisy environment with elevated CO2 vapor levels
  • Ability to work shift work (night shift)

Responsibilities

  • Loads and packages dry ice on a daily basis in accordance with quality standards
  • Knows and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures
  • Performs clean-up functions including sweeping, washing, painting, trash removal, and pick-up
  • Follows any other reasonable instructions and performs any other related duties as required by supervisor
  • Performs job in a safe manner in keeping with established Airgas policies
