High school degree or GED required
Mechanical aptitude
Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures applicable to the position
Minimum of 1 year of related technical experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratios, and percent

Responsibilities

Safely handle and fill gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and Airgas standard operating procedures
Meet all safety standards in loading and unloading cylinder gases per Airgas procedures
Perform cylinder analyses and ensure compliance with government and company standards
Calculate gas mixtures to meet requirements and document results; ensure mixtures can be safely made
Select cylinders and valve combinations to ensure compatibility with the mix and compliance
Operate control panels with valves, pressure gauges, and scales to accurately measure gas mixtures
Complete all necessary documentation to accurately record production actions
Comply with company procedures and government regulations relating to safe handling of hazardous materials
Safely operate forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse/material-handling equipment
Load/unload cylinders on/off pallets, ensuring they are strapped in
Perform other duties as assigned
