Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning or buyer functions within a supply chain or logistics environment
  • OR Equivalent to 6+ years of relevant experience in buying or supply chain roles, including direct engagement with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials
  • Proven ability to work with internal and external suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolution of material priorities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret and convey requirements effectively
  • Solid understanding of supply chain principles, including demand and supply forecasting, inventory control, and lot restrictions

Responsibilities

  • Purchase Order Lifecycle Management: Create and maintain purchase orders daily, ensuring accuracy and timely execution throughout their lifecycle
  • Inventory Management: Analyze demand data to support short- and long-term purchasing decisions, maintaining optimal inventory levels and continuity of supply
  • Supplier Management: Cultivate strong vendor relationships and promote the attributes of preferred suppliers to enhance performance and reliability
  • Material Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve inventory challenges such as shortages or excess, using data-driven problem-solving and implementing effective countermeasures
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal departments to ensure material continuity, drive process improvements, and lead initiatives that enhance the overall customer experience
