Requirements

  • Ability to develop complete executable job plans including safe work practices, job time estimates by trade entered into CMMS (Maximo), availability of required parts, tools, equipment, and access, required permits and notifications, specific safety procedures (LOTO, Confined Space, Line Break, Hot Work, etc.), and authorization/approval
  • Accountability for ensuring parts are received and kitted for planned work
  • Accountability for tracking ordered parts to ensure on-time completion of job planning
  • Ability to arrange for outside contract services as required
  • Capability to conduct on-site evaluation of work requests
  • Ability to develop cost estimates as required
  • Skills to procure parts and materials for planned work
  • Experience serving as front-line customer contact for job planning and asset availability
  • Ability to interface with Maintenance Operations (Group Leaders, Planners, Supervisors, Technical Reliability Engineers) for job plan reviews
  • Knowledge to ensure planned work compliance with current standards and specifications (FDA, GMP, OSHA, ISO)
  • Responsibility for the quality and accuracy of work plans
  • Ability to participate in trade group meetings for assigned areas
  • Capability to provide technical support for job plans and serve as SME for job plans
  • Skills to work with trades, review job histories for continuous improvement of job plans, and initiate MSSRs (add, revise, recommend)
  • Requirement to drive/operate autos/equipment during work shift
  • Flexibility to work with all divisions operating within Abbott facilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide workload planning for multiple skilled trade maintenance department (Electrical, HVAC/R, Mechanical, Plumbing, building maintenance, Rigger, Movers) across manufacturing, research/development laboratories, warehouse, Lake County facilities, and associated leased facilities
  • Plan work including estimating labor hours and materials, parts requisition, kitting of materials, and development of a ready backlog of work for skilled trades
