Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or 2-3 years of progressive distribution planning related experience
- Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in planning and scheduling (distribution experience preferred, but manufacturing experience acceptable)
- Six Sigma experience a plus
- APICS certification a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong software skills
- Excellent communication skills
Responsibilities
- Support the planning team and assist with communication between transportation, operations, and customer service
- Prepare the outbound truckload shipping schedule for the following work day
- Monitor on-time pickup performance of carriers and report issues to management
- Work with the DC Operations team to help ensure orders are processed on time to meet the shipping schedule
- Assist the DC Operations team in gathering information to estimate labor requirements for the shipping schedule
- Coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, and transportation providers to help expedite high-priority orders as needed
- Participate in process improvement activities as directed
- Develop working knowledge of the Transportation Management System and Distribution Management System (DM Plus)
