Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Business, Engineering, or 2-3 years of progressive distribution planning related experience
  • Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in planning and scheduling (distribution experience preferred, but manufacturing experience acceptable)
  • Six Sigma experience a plus
  • APICS certification a plus
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong software skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning team and assist with communication between transportation, operations, and customer service
  • Prepare the outbound truckload shipping schedule for the following work day
  • Monitor on-time pickup performance of carriers and report issues to management
  • Work with the DC Operations team to help ensure orders are processed on time to meet the shipping schedule
  • Assist the DC Operations team in gathering information to estimate labor requirements for the shipping schedule
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, and transportation providers to help expedite high-priority orders as needed
  • Participate in process improvement activities as directed
  • Develop working knowledge of the Transportation Management System and Distribution Management System (DM Plus)
