Candidates must be board-certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine with at least 3 years of post-residency experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings. A valid and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state, preferably an IMLC state, is required, along with active ABMS or AOA Board Certification and completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination. Experience with all age groups, from newborn to adult, comfort working within an integrated medical practice, and strong technological proficiency are essential. Candidates must not be under exclusion or sanction by any healthcare program and must maintain Medicare active status. Preferred qualifications include multistate licensure, telemedicine experience, familiarity with Athena EMR, and experience supervising Nurse Practitioners.
The Urgent Care Physician will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages across a wide range of conditions, performing age-appropriate history and virtual examinations, diagnosing, and recommending treatment plans. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate patient records, collaborating with provider and support teams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and counseling patients. The physician will also evaluate and manage pediatric and adult patients for acute care, manage chronic diseases and mental health conditions, stay updated on medical research, and provide administrative support, including reviewing lab results. Flexibility with scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, is required.
