This role involves enhancing and updating college-level history courses to ensure they meet current academic standards and industry requirements. As a Course Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality of credit-recommended college courses.

Project Description

You will review existing college-level course learning outcomes in your subject area. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

  • Updating overall course objectives and defining relevant competencies
  • Creating or revising skill-oriented course sections
  • Implementing clear and measurable learning outcomes aligned to course sections
  • Creating or revising response assignment prompts and rubrics
  • Evaluating existing multiple choice questions, or writing new ones

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Philosophy or Ethics, with a specialization or experience in technology/ethics in tech
  • Experience teaching courses in a college or university setting
  • Experience creating, updating, or revising courses at a college or university level

Preferred Skills

  • Strong time management skills to meet due dates
  • Receptiveness to feedback and willingness to revise submitted work as needed
  • Ability to collaborate with curriculum designers to create high-quality course deliverables
