Requirements

  • Skills and responsibilities of a standard Pharmacy Technician
  • Ability to oversee safe and secure operation of a Remote Dispensing Pharmacy, including keyholder duties, alarm/safe codes, and protection of pharmacy products (especially refrigerated and controlled substances)
  • Expertise in pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, checking in products, cycle counts, perpetual inventory, returns-to-stock, one-by-one returns/outdates, refrigerator organization/temperature logging, and monthly Inventory Excellence Report reviews
  • Capability to serve as point person for annual inventories, resets (e.g., Rx Planograms), and pharmacy-related AP Pulse Checks
  • Proficiency in receiving and acting on operational communications (e.g., email, myWork tasks)
  • Knowledge of WeCARE workflow best practices, customer service, and patient care
  • Growth mindset to support business outcomes, embrace change, and motivate store team
  • Experience in onboarding, training, and mentoring new hires in Telepharmacy
  • Clinical, technical, and insurance knowledge for customer assistance, including basic drug understanding
  • In-depth understanding of CVS workflow procedures and quality assurance standards across workstations (Pick-Up, Drop-Off, Drive-Thru, Production)
  • Ability to communicate with patients, co-workers, insurance companies, and prescribers where allowed by law
  • Certification and training as allowable in applicable states to expand clinical and managerial responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Manage all daily operations of the Telepharmacy Remote Dispensing Pharmacy location under Pharmacist oversight from a Supervising Pharmacy
  • Oversee safe and secure pharmacy operations, including as keyholder and protecting product integrity
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, including controlled substances: execute ordering, check-ins, cycle counts, returns, refrigerator logging, and perpetual inventory
  • Review monthly Inventory Excellence Report and partner with team to improve inventory practices
  • Serve as point person for annual inventories, resets, and AP Pulse Checks
  • Receive and complete operational communications and tasks
  • Improve store service foundations through WeCARE workflows, customer service, and patient care execution
  • Demonstrate growth mindset, inspire team change adoption, and support new workflows/products
  • Mentor and train new hires in Telepharmacy
  • Provide excellent customer service by expanding knowledge and assisting customers effectively
  • Fulfill prescriptions: communicate with stakeholders, follow CVS workflows and QA standards, manage workstations, and shift to team support as needed
