Requirements
Candidates must be a high school graduate or possess a GED, and they are required to have an active NJ Pharmacy Technician registration. Previous experience as a pharmacy technician is preferred, along with knowledge of IV sterile products preparation and automated dispensing devices.
Responsibilities
The Pharmacy Technician will assist the Pharmacist in dispensing and distributing medications, preparing medications and filling orders, performing medication exchanges and deliveries, demonstrating knowledge of IV sterile products preparation, preparing unit dose medication from bulk packaging, performing inventory management and documentation, maintaining automated dispensing devices, and conducting medication area inspections.
