Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 3+ years' experience OR 6+ years of sales or related experience with high school diploma or GED
- Previous hospital pharmacy sales experience strongly preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills
- Ability to analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies
- Strong knowledge of sales processes and an eye for business
- Willingness to travel, including to remote or urban areas, individually or with others
- Must live within the territory (St. Louis, MO; covering St. Louis to Springfield/Urbana to Cape Girardeau to Columbia, MO)
Responsibilities
- Achieving sales quotas through direct promotion and sale of pharmacy portfolio (generic injectables, ready-to-use injectable premixes, and oncology products)
- Calling on hospital customers, primarily pharmacy department, via effective sales presentations, providing technical product information, managing customer contracts and prices, and supporting new product launches
- Monitoring sales against forecasts, implementing sales strategies to attain assigned sales volume, and participating in determining market potential for the territory
- Providing customer feedback to sales and marketing personnel for marketing strategy, product needs, and pricing development
- Working closely with customer service and operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Promoting Baxter Culture through positive ongoing relationships and activities
