Act as a role model demonstrating genuine care and setting the bar for the pharmacy team
Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful patient counseling, and abiding by legal and regulatory guidelines
Lead and develop a pharmacy team to provide exceptional patient care, promote best practices, and lead through change
Identify and address performance opportunities, support novel program awareness, onboard new hires, and recognize colleagues
Ensure pharmacy operations are fully compliant with state Board of Pharmacy regulations
Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable), managing performance through observation, feedback, and annual reviews

Responsibilities

Help manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
Oversee the pharmacy team during bench shifts, strengthening performance through coaching and follow-up
Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing adherence to pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy, genuine care, collaborating with healthcare teams, and resolving insurance/medication issues; coach team to do the same
Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; identify, engage, and support Pharmacy Technicians to learn to immunize
Manage pharmacy inventory by following and coaching best practices, especially protecting cold chain products
Conduct new Technician and Pharmacist onboarding for the store and district, including CVS workflow training, ensuring timely completion of required training/licensure
Escalate issues or concerns to the Rx DL for support as needed
Partner with the Store Manager to maintain a talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues for the pharmacy, ensuring timely training completion for licensure
