- License - Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
Responsibilities
- Lead the Pharmacy and OTC teams, including participation in recruitment and interviewing of candidates
- Train all associates on OBWs/SOPs and Walmart workflow and ensure their execution
- Develop, assess, motivate, and retain team members
- Promote Walmart's brand to team members and customers
- Develop functional and collaborative relationships with the Prof Services District Manager, Store Management team, and Store Manager
- Operate Pharmacy to achieve established plans and budgets
- Efficiently schedule associates according to business needs, conduct ongoing associate assessments and periodic performance reviews
- Develop and execute business action plans to meet corporate goals and corrective action plans based on deficiencies from reports (P&L, FSA visits, POAs, etc.), audits, and DM visits
- Maintain accurate inventories by following Walmart OBWs/SOPs (receiving, inventory management, disposal of expired products)
- Address all customer complaints and resolve problems to ensure excellent customer experience
- Maintain regular care of the Pharmacy for proper appearance, hospital clean environment, and professional image per Workstation Standardization and 6S Audit
- Cascade communication from SSC to all Pharmacy associates and OTC team
- Execute all programs assigned by the Prof Services team
- Develop collaborative relationships with other health care providers (clinics, Vision Centre, community, etc.)
- Ensure Pharmacy is open and operational during posted business hours
- Supervise and support the OTC manager in their everyday duties
- Ensure excellent patient experience and locate merchandise on the sales floor
- Accept prescriptions and/or refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals
- Fill all prescriptions accurately, efficiently, and safely using established workflow models and counsel patients on pharmaceutical products
- Ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products
- Execute processes as per OBWs/SOPs
- Operate all pharmacy equipment (register, computer system, etc.)
- Protect and maintain patient privacy, following provincial regulations by the regulatory body
- Ensure patients receive all eligible services (medication reviews, injections, etc.) to meet specific needs
