Requirements

  • Act as a role model demonstrating genuine care and setting standards for the pharmacy team
  • Lead and develop a pharmacy team providing exceptional patient care
  • Promote best practices and lead through change while identifying and addressing performance opportunities
  • Support novel program awareness and onboard newly hired pharmacy team members
  • Recognize colleagues for their success
  • Exhibit best practices when working the bench, including quarterbacking the team, providing meaningful patient counseling, and abiding by legal and regulatory guidelines
  • Oversee pharmacy team during bench shifts with effective coaching and follow-up
  • Follow and direct adherence to pharmacy workflow procedures and safety guardrails
  • Demonstrate empathy, genuine care, and compassionate care; collaborate with patient's total healthcare team and resolve insurance/medication issues
  • Proactively offer and deliver immunizations; support Pharmacy Technicians in learning to immunize
  • Manage pharmacy inventory following best practices, especially protecting cold chain products
  • Conduct onboarding and training for new Technicians and Pharmacists on CVS workflow, ensuring timely completion of training/licensure
  • Ensure full compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations and escalate issues as needed
  • Partner with Store Manager to maintain talent pipeline of cross-trained colleagues and ensure their training completion
  • Oversee Staff Pharmacists and District Support Pharmacists (where applicable), manage performance via observation, feedback, validation, annual reviews, and gap closure
